LOL... yeah it is.  I've written various technical books and lengthy user manuals 
over the years, and I'm not sure that I'd do it again unless there was some really 
compelling reason.  Such as a large advance from my publisher <g>

On the other hand, having a Web-related book published can be an excellent 
promotional tool, as I guess is obvious.  A friend of mine, owner of a large ad/Web 
agency in Toronto, wrote a "guide to good stuff on the Internet" sort of thing a 
couple of years ago, and he figures it was well worth the several months of late 
nights.  It establishes him as "a bona fide expert", and generates a lot of queries 
from potential clients who've read or seen his book.

I dunno... I've had various people push me to write a Web-design book over the 
past three years, but I don't think I will; the market already seems so saturated.  
And I just have to read any two paragraphs by Laura Lemay to realize, "Sigh, I 
couldn't write anything that good."  

(Though such false modesty doesn't seem to inhibit other authors -- lordy there's a 
lot of bumpf on the bookshelves, written by purported "experts".  I assume that the 
market is maturing by now, but a couple of years ago any idiot with a copy of 
Notepad and the ability to roughly follow the HTML 2.0 specs was being offered 
money to pen books, or so it seemed.)

Anyway Ronnie -- *I'd* buy your book :)
