As Stafford and I have been discussing off list, I thought this site was a
scam from the beginning. And I don't believe that the host provider just
figured this out - there are other, unpublished reasons for their
departure, I"m sure :>)

A Consummate Joke? Internet 'Virgins' Alleged to Be a Scam

A bizarre stunt purportedly showcasing two 18-year-olds who would lose
their virginity on the Internet appeared to unravel yesterday, exposing an
even more bizarre scheme to sucker the public.
After agreeing Thursday night to manage the Web site, www.ourfirsttime.com,
an adult entertainment host provider abruptly withdrew yesterday, alleging
that the entire operation was "a sham."
Seth Warshavsky, president of Internet Entertainment Group, said the site's
designer told him he planned to renege on his promise not to charge for
access to the site and institute a $5 fee on Aug. 4, the designated date
for the event. And then the couple said they would not have sex on the Web,
deciding that they weren't ready to take that step...
