Sounds like a good idea. I keep planning on sending a copy of 
every post to a cgi that will extract who it was from, subject and 
body (and try to gut non-essentials like sigs).  And then I store it in 
a database. Gee... sounds sort of like dejanews.  Its not all that 
hard to setup ... just give me a few hours.

I was also thinking the book would be in a more personal vein.  I 
would expect the list members to almost take on a personality as 
the book progressed.  I like the books from ORA that I have read 
where the author interjects his personality. Greenspun's "Database 
-Backed websites.." was another example.
