Yeah, not a minute goes by without another thought.

I just don't see every mom and pop getting a website. The goal
here is money.

I should, of course, start with some existing models and see what
they are doing. I will do that later.

I like the idea of, not a mall, but a concept website. A perfect
example is my memphisart.com site. The idea is that artists put
works in the database. The site is promoted and that promotion
benefits all -- not each one independently doing promotion. Of
course an artist can have a website and memphisart can just be
like a billboard in cyberspace for them. The site can also provide
web/business card type sites for art related businesses. But I have
to say that I put it up, called a bunch of art galleries and stores etc.
and a year later it has gone nowhere. Just last weekend I got a call
from a stain glass artist who wanted me to do something like that
for stain glass artists. She had a friend who developed web sites
(whatever that means) and I told her that I would work with her
friend to improve the look of the place. But I never heard back. At
US$10 per meg/month you are about US$100 per year and 1 meg
is plenty for pictures in a database.

I like the idea of concept sites and then you get businesses to pay
about US$100 for banner ads and business card pages on the
concept site (where they server the concept).
