today's excuse is that, as a network administrator, i have to deal with
about six separate and distinct capitalization standards in various config
files.   spell it right but get the caps wrong, and blooie, there goes the
server.

under those circumstances, i say anything sophisticated enough to handle
the semantic mappings necessary to /identify/ a proper noun can fend for
itself.  ;-)
