Maybe you can help me with a problem I've been having with my battery since
I got my desktop PC motherboard. The battery drains very quickly when the
machine is turned off. I usually leave my machine on, but the battery still
runs out of juice after around 3 weeks. I've never been able to figure out
what the problem is. Have changed battery maybe a dozen times. When system
starts and battery is bad the system searches for the primary hard drive and
finds it, then gives me an F1 to continue message. It does not search for my
2ndary master hard drive. When this happens, I change the battery, reboot,
reset the CMOS to automatically identify the 2ndary master drive and all is
well until next time.

Any ideas what could be causing the problem? The battery slot looks clean,
clean contacts and all. It uses a model 2032 3volt battery.

TIA,
Jack
