My guess is someone released an NT vs. UNIX spec report. Not sure of
specifics of SPECfp92, but have seen reports lately for SPECfp95.
Appears to be an upgraded spec, and MS was tooting their horn last week
because NT, which used to run at only 60-70% of the efficiency of UNIX
measured by this spec, runs at 80-88% under the new spec.
When you can't improve the product, change the measuring stick ;)
