Good point. Forgot about the savings.

PNY Technologies ("The Memory People") used to have six people
with huge manuals who would look up your computer configuration,
the memory you now have and what you seek.. They would then tell
you what you need. Now that it's on the Net, only one person is
required in that department. The others are doing pro-active
customer support (nice words for telemarketing;}). So, they
saved time and money and got additional business. http://www.pny.com

Also, EDI (Electronic Data Exchange) the lifeline for order
processing between supplier and retailer is now being done on the
Net. In the past the telephone charges were very high as you had
to call central processing centers.

I mentioned lawyers before, and they seem to do very well. One
of our clients in Nashville called to tell us they just got "An
Artist Formerly Know as Prince" as a result of their site.
Earlier they got Back Street Boys and the great fiddler whose
name escapes me (Conners?). They also got a client from
Ukraine. My son the attorney got a large estate case from Russia
because of the Net. And another small firm in NJ got the largest
case ever in 22 years of practice from the Net. Folks visiting a
law site can determine who they are and all pertinent stuff that
makes them desirable.
