A few tangible benefits that recently came across my desk:
Our admissions department did some checking recently and reported that
around 9% of this year's incoming freshman class had made their first
contact with us via our web site.
Over the summer, we filled a number of vacancies on our faculty. Nearly a
third of applicants for those positions indicated that they'd learned
about the opening for which they were applying from our web site or from
one other that we'd posted to.
