You may want to contact the organizations that monitor that for
the artists -- BMI, ASCAP, and SESAC.

I don't know what happens with radio, but I do know artists got
killed with tapes when they came out -- no residuals (my cousin
is a famous songwriter and his son is a lawyer dealing with the
music business). Wouldn't be surprised if they get screwed.
