I appear to be unable to reach any of the Excite based search engines
tonight. The several Excite based peepholes that we watch destablized and
then all failed between midnight and 1am Wednesday. (Our ISP also appears
to have some transient networking problems, as we lost access to AltaVista
for a while too! Yet ATT and certain East Coast sites were still
accessable.)
With that, certain stable bands of queries that we use as references
dissapeared from the mix of search engines that we poll. Each of the
engines seems to attract a characteristic mix of stable queries in
addition to a more wildly fluctuating bulk.
Can anyone else reach any of these search engines:
