I don't know how much SCSI cost compared to EIDE drives in US
but here there is a not trascurable difference so I'll go for a EIDE if
there aren't specific reason to buy a SCSI (very high transfer
rate/heavy multitasking, super compatibility)
Anyway... buy the HD... power supply and cables could be
inserted in just one way so there shouldnt be problems... if you've
old cable pin one (red stripe) usualli goes near the power cable.
In recent PC there are 2 EIDE ports for a total of 4 HD.
First HD on the same EIDE port should be set as master the
second as slave (use jumpers... expalnation are usually on the HD)
M-------1---2
|-------------|-----| cable
(M)otherboard (1) first HD (2) second HD
Faster HD should be placed as Master...
Attention... If you change the order of Master/Slave also the letter
assignment/boot disk etc... will change.
Don't worry It's really simple...
