Workbench: (noun) Large rectangular chest left behind by previous
tenant and probably intended to be used for the storage of fancy china
or some other such silly thing that is not likely to ever set foot in my
apartment, and happened to have a nice, level marble top for
workbench-like purposes. <G>

CompUSA *hehe* Ever noticed how there's always that one customer
standing at the counter at CompUSA arguing with the tech about some
utterly inane thing, and is kindly dispensing completely wrong advice to
every customer who approaches the counter with a question at the same
time? (Saturday it was a guy arguing that the corporate advertising
policies were misleading (I actually felt sorry for the helpless tech)
who insisted to me that I didn't really have to buy true parity RAM for
my Alphastation (which would run better on NT than UNIX, BTW), and that
EDO memory is all true parity anyway (despite the lettering on the box
that clearly states that it contains NON-PARITY RAM). Mindboggling
sometimes.
If it helps any, it was equally expensive when I had to buy the same
adapter for the Alpha. :P
But not half as bad as what I'm finding true parity RAM can cost . . .
