You may want to read the article " WYSIWYG Editor Shoot-out" on the
Webmonkey site:
        http://www.hotwired.com/webmonkey/98/08/index1a.html

Some of the advantages of Dreamweaver:

- It doesn't change your code if you have already coded a Web page or throw
in a lot of garbagy code (the way PageMill and FrontPage do.)

- It will let you know ahead of time how your code will work in different
browsers.

- It comes bundled with HomeSite for the PC or BBEdit for the Mac. These
are excellent non-WYSIWYG editors. It is my opinion that the best, most
efficient system is to first rough out a page in a WYSIWYG editor (like
DreamWeaver) and then fine-tune it in a non-WYSIWYG editor (like Homesite).

Remember that a WYSIWYG editor IS NOT a desktop-publishing tool. It can
only GUESS what you're trying to do in the way of formatting. It's only by
learning HTML coding and applying the tags you want that you can really
control the appearance and function of your Web pages.

Another advantage of Dreamweaver, which you may not use now but will use
later, is its ability to create such things as Javascript, DHTML, and
Stylesheets without coding.

I use Dreamweaver with Homesite and am very happy with it.
