No, you done right. If, after subscribing him unawares to every open
list you can find, and he *still* doesn't get that the 'ol 2-step is a
worthwhile dance, then concede but make him the administrator of your
open list. A bit of time dealing with all the "please remove" messages,
bounces caused by mis-typed addresses on the Web page, and other assorted
administrivia will convince him once and for all. Some people learn
from others, some have to learn for themselves.
