Grrrr -- this really peeves me.
In my humble opinion, bad press is the best revenge. How about contacting
his local newspaper and seeing if they want to do a human interest type of
story on how one of their local business folks are stealing copyrighted
info from other small businesses? All the newspapers are online these days,
and everyone is hungry for stories that are both timely and have a local
flavor -- if the local media has one of those consumer watch type of
programs going, they might be interested in how easy it is to violate
copyright like this. (You might also want to check with the San Jose
Mercury News and see if they'd be interested in mentioning the goings-on in
one of their columns, since you are a Silicon Valley person.)
I'll gladly send a nastygram to the stealer's ISP if you want to forward
their address on to me. I'm very good at nastygrams....
