Telnet is a shell. Find a freeware version for the MAC, I know not where
to find such a thing, being a <choke> windows man myself. There should be
tons of them available on the net. They are usually small clients and
install very easily.
When you start the client, you will need to connect to an address. They
have supplied you with that address. Once connected, you will be
controling a shell at a unix machine. Follow their instructions. It is a
little like DOS, only more confusing. To change your password, the
command is 'passwd' (without 's). Follow the promts. Other commands to
know are 'ls' (to get a directory listing) ls -asF (to get a full
directory listing) rm (to delete a file) and exit (to logout).
