If all you're doing is connecting two Macs (literally 2 Macs, w/ no 
printers, etc. involved), then you don't even need a hub. Just pick up a 
crossover cable (Cat. 5 w/ an RJ-45 on each end) for about $5 and plug 
one end into each Mac. Works like a champ, and darn fast compared to 
LocalTalk.  :-p
