Click and drag, then just hit the delete key (command/Apple key delete is
unnecessary).
BTW, I often see instructions on web sites telling users to "right" or
"left" click on something. PC-using folks who are tempted to write such
instructions may find it helpful to know that they are meaningless to us
Mac users. Most Mac mouses have only one button, and if we should buy a
fancier multiple-button mouse, we then have to configure the second button
to do whatever we want (such as double-click), as there is no standard
function.
