I don't think public domain killed what was already a "free product".
I myself was never impressed with Netscape. I would have been very
interested if they had worked with linux. Not that I hate MS or
anything but the more free choices in the marketplace the better.

Nothing of the kind. The worry will be the shadow of MS on the net.
Although I use the MS browser, I do not develop for it. Will AOL
really develop Netscape as a browser??? What did AOL do with
AOLserver?

AOL's users are still newbies. I am not surprised that the ignorant
are winning. It is happening everywhere.

One of our websites were listed on the site of the day at Netscape.
That listing drove about 20 times more people to the website than any
other link. Netscape never really used their position. Business is
not easy. We are in a gold-rush but how many of us are getting rich?
It is simply not as easy as many assume.
I think this could be a big boost for Apache.
I recently tried compuserver again. What a joke, a complete joke.
They had some proprietary interface. And this company is now owned
by AOL. I think the problem is a move back towards the cave.

two centuries does not automatically derive from our nation's
nutritional habits or from a good job benefits package. This character
must be developed and supported, or it will die.
