Impressive, Chad! Since working, one of the joys I missed was being available
to tutor at my children's grade school. Next year, I'll have 8 of mine in
school.
A site like this presents many opportunities for us. One being that we'll have
a resource such as this. (Good info, help, is hard to find in kid-speak)
Another is, if you'll have me, is a chance once again teach. I'll still
have my
two evening classes, but if you'd like some help, even an occasional
encouraging word, I'm here.
The regional librarian in our part of the school district has spoken often
on how
he would like to see something on the Web just like you envision. He also owns
a company which distributes educational books for children. Someone with that
vision and desire to educate, and profit without a ShowMe-TheMoney
mentality are plentiful in the education sector which has many underpaid,
under-
appreciated yet dedicated members.
And maybe for us slightly older students, Forming Strategic Partnerships
for Fun
and Profit 101. :) Seriously, your project will touch the lives of many.
It's about time
someone is porting this idea to the Web. I'm looking forward to using it,
because,
frankly, we need it!
