At -2, fonts spec'd as "verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif" are a good
deal more readable than Times, but still not for the fainthearted. I know
that even -1 Times is hard to read on the Mac. Usually, if I go -1, I spec
"verdana,arial, helvetica, sans-serif".

The point is that if you don't use negative numbers, but use 1,2,4 etc,
instead, I recommend checking your stuff on AOL's new browser. The version I
have, installed yesterday, does not format fonts spec'd that way the same
way that any of my other browsers do. I have not done thorough testing, so I
recommend that anyone interested check it out themselves.

I haven't got a read on what the thing is. The AOL docs just say "MSIE", but
don't give a version. I *will* say that the few basic mousoevers that I've
tested have not worked in it, but again, I haven't thoroughly tested. They
do not generate and error, which is good. They just don't do anything. I
have not tested any CSS or DHTML stuff, so would be interested in hearing
what people know about this new AOL manglation. The AOL webmaster site has
not been updated to include info about this browser...at least not the
webmaster site that I have an url for.
