You bring up an interesting point with sig lines. What do people
actually read in the line? IMHO, I think people look at the
links, and if interested, they click on them for more
information. I think the importance of an address or telephone
number in a sig line is when dealing with a prospect or client
who may want to call you (most folks on-line don't use the
telephone for calls ;-)). Hence, multiple sig lines is important
(I have 24) . Six lines max seems to be the de facto standard for a sig line.
All of which brings up another issue. How do people read an
e-mail? When reading a snail mail letter, they read the first
paragraph, the signature and PS line, then the body of the
letter. I haven't been able to determine how e-mails are read.
So, what is the most effective way to display a sig line?
