Jack's story reminds me of a phone call from my dad a couple of weeks ago.
My brother and I gave Dad got a Teknema Web TV system for Christmas.
So he called to ask, "How do you get to your Web site? I know I looked at
it one time and it was real pretty but I can't get to it now."
Me: "What address are you typing in?"
Dad: "www.kickassdesign.com"
Me: "That sounds right. What *exactly* are you doing to try to get to it?"
Dad: "Well, I type www.kickassdesign.com into an email letter, then I send
it. But it never takes me to your Web site."
Doh.
Things are improving, however. I got an email from him yesterday yesterday
saying that he'd finally gotten his new printer to work after several phone
calls to Teknema, and that he had downloaded a new operating system for his
unit. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.
