As I was re-reading something I wrote last night, I realized that not
everybody reads the same stuff that I do -- or the same quantity.
(Yep, that's how I ruined my eyes when I was a kid; but it was worth it.)
Here's a partial list of the technical mailing lists that I listen in on,
with the name of the mailing list, the subscription address, and in some
cases a quick comment. Tuning in to a significant subset of these
for a week will give you far better information than a year's worth
of glossy press releases. But please note that some of these are
high-volume, and trying to keep up with them can be like trying to
drink from a firehose.
