There was a good thread on them on the Steve Champeon's most excellent web
design list at http://www.hesketh.com/lists/ . I didn't save the thread,
but the general impression I received is that some people felt that it was
more economical just to use non-rewritable disks and toss them instead of
rewriting.
You might sign up for that list and ask if anyone saved the thread.
