First, if you feel strongly about this, you should talk to a lawyer.
Second, I am not a lawyer.

As I understand slander and libel, the above could qualify as libel. The
trick would proving that you have suffered damage as a result of it. 

That said, I wouldn't do  thing about it. Quite frankly, I think it would
be doing them more harm than you. I mean, who would want to deal with some
jerk that puts that into the code of a site? Not I. Depending on how you
feel about stirring the pot, it might be interesting to drop the dweeb an
email and let him know that he's acting like a child.

I've always felt that stirring the pot builds upper body strength.

I think you can rest easy in the knowledge that you're the bigger man (so
to speak).
