Sounds like a pretty horrendous (not to mention unprofessional) 
thing to do.

Technically it's not slander, as slander has to be verbal. It's 
possibly libellous (being written), but I suspect it depends on how 
public your law courts would regard source (pretty public I would 
presume) and (possibly, depending on how your libel system 
works) whether it has caused you harm or was done with malice.

I would think you could argue that it does nothing for your 
reputation as a professional working in this line of business, and it 
certainly reads pretty maliciously, but you would certainly need to 
check things out with a lawyer familiar with how your legal system 
views this sort of stuff.

In the interim, it may possibly be worth a carefully worded note to 
the person and/or employer involved pointing out that this sort of 
adolescent behaviour damages their reputation as much (if not 
more) than yours, and suggesting that they ensure that any such 
interference with your work (or comments made in their work) 
should be removed to avoid a damaging legal suit....
