The InterNIC was hit with an attack of a similar nature to a denial of service
roughly a month ago, when some idiot sent thousands of bogus domain name
registration requests to them... we were in the process of moving about 30-40
domains, and it was a difficulty that we didn't particular want or need.
HOwever, they managed to program around the problem (or so they say), and last
week, I was getting less than 24 hour turnaround for registering new domains.
