Hello All,

I need some explanations on some concepts:

1) What's the idea behind 'set catch all' account?
Does it mean that if I have mail.domain.com domain and there is no such account as [EMAIL PROTECTED], all mail set to [EMAIL PROTECTED] will arrive to
defined as 'catch all' account? If so, isn't it a goldmine for spammers?

2) Am I getting right 'Aliases' on web-cyradm?
Is it like the aliases in /etc/aliases, says who gets mail for whom, even from nonexistant email account to some other account?

3) When using web-cyradm configured system, what's happening when someone sends e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ? It should be delivered to root (like /etc/aliases say: postmaster:     root), but instead it bounced with this error: (data format error. Command output: root: Mailbox does not exist ).

Bounced message:
----------------------------
This is the Postfix program at host mail2.edu.haifa.ac.il.

I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not be
be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

For further assistance, please send mail to <postmaster>

If you do so, please include this problem report. You can
delete your own text from the attached returned message.

The Postfix program

<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (expanded from
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>): data format error. Command output:
    root: Mailbox does not exist

Should I make an alias for root with web-cyradm to some existent account or some changes to main.cf, so local accounts will be usefull?

Thanks in advance,

Leon
