I had all those settings correct. My system is Debian based so I have /etc/default/saslauth, where START = yes and MECHANISMS="pam".
No problem with testsaslauthd. So to me it seems like there must be something happening when the requests come from outside through cyrus. There should be no problem with sasl and mysql since testsaslauthd works, and I can see from the mysql.log that sasl performs the query, according to the settings in the /etc/pam.d/ directory. If you get a SUCSSESS with testsaslauthd. in imapd.conf: sasl_pwcheck_method: saslauthd sasl_mech_list: PLAIN LOGIN in smtpd.conf: pwcheck_method: saslauthd mech_list: login plain and if you have a RedHat System look in /etc/sysconfig/saslauthd: MECH=pam Regards Marcel _______________________________________________ This mailing list is hosted and supported by bit-heads GmbH | http://www.bit-heads.ch _______________________________________________ Web-cyradm mailing list [email protected] http://www.web-cyradm.org/mailman/listinfo/web-cyradm _______________________________________________ This mailing list is hosted and supported by bit-heads GmbH | http://www.bit-heads.ch _______________________________________________ Web-cyradm mailing list [email protected] http://www.web-cyradm.org/mailman/listinfo/web-cyradm
