Bingo!  That explains why web-cyradm does it that way.

Ok, so has anyone worked up patches or a fork of web-cyradm that makes use
of cyrus' present ability to handle virtual accounts?  It seems like it'd be
a better solution all-round to use native virtual support, if only for the
flexibily of using [EMAIL PROTECTED] logins.

Well, now that I grasp the situation with web-cyradm's "old style" versus
cyrus' direct virtual support I can approach it from another angle.

Yes, that's what I gathered as well.

This is all telling me that given cyrus as it stands today, web-cyradm does
not provide an effective fit.  Ugh, I wish this had been clearer two weeks
ago.
