Ugh, I wish this had been clearer two weeks > ago. It's still provides a perfectly workable solution. Just not completely up to date w/latest Cyrus. The issues are pretty minor inconvenience for end users. Once you set up an mua you rarely need to reconfigure it again. Thus the only people who really need to grasp the "username ! = email address" concept are webmail users. And Ilohamail provides nice workaround for that. Your alternatives are, imho, limited: 1) Courier- don't recommend you go there. 2) Dovecot- recommend you take a look if Cyrus is not getting you what you need. Fast performance but less features and less mature IMAP support. To be expected from younger project. Development seems to be moving forward at steady pace. I've also had a few exchanges w/lead developer (same guy who brought us Irssi) and he's pretty responsive. Or at least he was a year or two back... There was another web front end- think it was Postmail, or something like that, originally developed for Courier but patches avail for Cyrus. I took a look at it a while back to see what the "competition" was and concluded that web-cyradm was a better fit for me. Your point is well taken, however, web-cyradm needs updating. Original author is busy w/o other things and it's not too pressing an issue since web-cyradm does get the job done in it's present incantation. Good luck;-) -- Best regards, Ken Gunderson Q: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. A: Why is putting a reply at the top of the message frowned upon? _______________________________________________ This mailing list is hosted and supported by bit-heads GmbH | http://www.bit-heads.ch _______________________________________________ Web-cyradm mailing list [email protected] http://www.web-cyradm.org/mailman/listinfo/web-cyradm
