of course, weheh, for testing you might find it useful / interesting (if you
have 2G plus of ram) to just get an ubuntu image, and install it in
virtualbox  (www.virtualbox.org) --- I did android development and builds
that way, and it was surprisingly fast (maybe 85% or 90% of native boot) ---
since you can see shared folder from within that environ, you could use
rsync, diff, etc. from an updated maintained ubuntu (or whatever you choose)
from within your windows environment --- actually, that is much nicer than
cygwin, if you have the processor performance (I'd say 1.6GHz plus, dual
core will make you happier & 3G RAM if you have it, but 2G will work;  1G
will ... be just usable, but not by much).
