We're using ImageMagick, basically just for getting size and for
resizing, but it can do quite a lot more. Executing the compiled code
in IM should be faster, but I am not sure what latency there is in
running the command from Java.

Just to know, what library do you use to manipulate images
(getting X and Y size, resizing, etc)? Do you use the standard Java
stuff, or anything else better/faster?
