I haven't used GWT-Ext myself. It's not a native GWT library, meaning it's not written in Java; it's just a thin Java wrapper around Javascript and CSS, etc. That makes it a little less attractive. Plus the Ext license is not free for commercal development I think. You should check out SmartGWT<http://www.jroller.com/sjivan/entry/smartgwt_1_0_released>as well.
