For $2495/year you get the tools, some support, updates, and a 50%
discount on all deployment licenses. So if you're serious about
development, there is a $3,495 option.

I do agree that $7,500 - $25,000 is way too big a gap in pricing. There
should be at least one, maybe two, intermediate levels. That would seem
to be common sense.
