I mentioned this a while ago, when we were first discussing the 
Editorial Board, but I'd like to see projects come to the 
website-discuss list with important milestones and have them featured in 
the main content area, the way the poll information is displayed today. 
I think updating it every 1-2 months would be good.

I think the issue with 'stale' content is that every three months 
someone says 'we have stale content', then someone volunteers to update 
it for a while and then they stop - and we repeat the cycle.

Marketing updated the News items for the first year, but then they 
wanted the community take it over. Since then I've given a number of 
people access to the News area, but they eventually lose interest.

We don't have dedicated resources for content development. It's up to 
the individual project and communities to create content. If you find 
something that is worth posting send it along.
