Almost every project, including Wikipedia, mozdev etc. use specific, third-party non-open source search engines. IMO "open- vs. closed-source" is not an argument in this case all opensource search engines we'e checked a year ago (for my old institute) are quite sub-optimal. ... and the bug I'm currently thinking about to file (priority="very high") would be about the problem that there is no functional/useable sitemap, something which "Clusty" creates automagically (and like Wikipedia we could offer multiple choices (e.g. "Clusty", "Google", "Yahoo", "MSN", "Kartoo"). ---- Bye, Roland -- __ . . __ (o.\ \/ /.o) [EMAIL PROTECTED] \__\/\/__/ MPEG specialist, C&&JAVA&&Sun&&Unix programmer /O /==\ O\ TEL +49 641 7950090 (;O/ \/ \O;) _______________________________________________ website-discuss mailing list [email protected]
