Basing the main website on a wiki would be a good first step in my view. Also, we need a better way to integrate the mailing lists with the discussion forums. Finally, I think we need more community involvement in the website. It really does need to move outside the firewall to fulfil its potential.
Also, I always wondered why Sun chose not to build opensolaris.org using off-the-shelf open source components. I think if they had, then it would have been much easier to open the site up to the wider community. What was the reason for not using open source for the site? Cheers Andrew.
