So far we (French Canadians) are hanging out on the FR mailist and I
also use the FR website. I think that we are fine with this separation.
The difference with the English and the French sites are that I can ask
the French community if I can open a French Canadian page and most
likely this will be OK with them. The opposite is not possible as the
International site is English and there is no possibility to open a page
dedicated to English Canada.
This is why I thought the EN site was a good option as we (the first
language English countries) could have our own pages under one large EN
designation. The we could just do up our own pages according to our
particular needs.
But, if we are to separate into more sites, then it makes sense again
for EN Canada to pair up with the US site.
The I guess the suggestion would be for UK to umbrella AU and NZ sites.
We could run into further problems when other first language English
countries ask for the same options. I think that Liberia is a first
language English country -- they have modelled their country to the US
model.
It could be that the EN site would offer a better option than separating
into different EN sites.
