Yep, sorry, this is related to the original confusion over why SSL certs are provided in the test package (Which they have to be to support the tests). Another ARC should be along shortly which describes both sides of the process (enabling MySQL/SSL and supporting the MySQL testsuite running SSL). This should (I hope) remove the confusion.
