Just explored on this symbolic links from usr/share and we would like to keep the symbolic link from /usr/share/man/man1/mysql_51.1 --> /usr/mysql/5.1/man/man1/mysql_51.1 intact . For all other Manpages the user needs to set the MANPATH=/usr/mysql/5.1/man .
I shall remove the other symbolic links which shouldn't be in there . Thanks for your comments though . -- Sunanda Sunanda Menon wrote: > Hi Sriram , > > > I think you are referring to the man pages from usr/share > example : > > /usr/share/man/man1/msql2mysql.1 -> /usr/mysql/5.1/man/man1/msql2mysql.1 > > I'm not sure if they need to be removed as they are from solaris > usr/share area . > All references from usr/mysql/man ...> /usr/mysql/5.1/man has been removed . > > Thanks Sunanda > > > Sriram Natarajan wrote: > >> Hi >> I still see that the man pages has symbolic links .
