The files under 'original' are sample files distributed as-is from the original Apache distribution. These are meant as examples and inspiration only. To use them, copy the desired file(s) into the conf.d directory and edit to suit local installation & goals. If some feature is sufficiently common and interesting that it is worth shipping a tuned version in conf.d directly, please file RFEs and they can be discussed here when they get picked up.
