Here is a summary of where things stand with respect to Apache's 32/64-bit file layout issue for SFW/SXDE:
- The next case will propose a file layout that takes into account the bitness (32- vs 64- bit) of the build. I believe we agree that we need to propose a solution that will accommodate both 32- bit and 64- bit Apache HTTP servers. - Once installed, the choice of the 32-bit server versus the 64-bit server will be via a smf(5) property. There seems to be consensus on this. - The problem is with the file layout of the 'include' and 'build' directories for which there are no established naming conventions or directory hierarchies in Solaris. Seema has proposed/implemented a hierarchy that works but we don't know if this will pass ARC scrutiny. Does anyone have any other suggestion as to how we tackle this problem? Are there any other open issues to discuss? -Arvi
