Thanks, maybe I'm biting off more than I can chew with WebKit. >but we do call it a Quick Start instead of > a tutorial because it doesn't hold one's hand as thoroughly as a tutorial. Can we have a tutorial as well then :-) > I assumed in the > QuickStart that the reader was comfortable with their database including > users, permissions, etc. I'm comfortable-ish but I'd forgotten that a PHP tutorial I once did made me disable localhost access. Maybe that could go in tutorial? > MiddleKit is just another Python package and I don't recommend that you > mingle your project files with Webware files. Ah, let me hold my hand up. I'm an ex HyperCarding-Prograph mac head learning unix and although I managed to get a CVS client half working, I have NO IDEA how they work, what I should do, what I point it at etc. > I'll see if I can clarify that in the manual. There's a manual? Can I take a look? Or does that require cvs? > I think a Movies example is more cogent than a Zoo example, plus I don't > care for rewriting half the Quick Start or more, so I'll stick with Movies. How about a compromise? Documentaries about Animals :-) > In any case, I haven't worked on MKBrowser in ages. Just haven't had the > time. If someone wants to take a stab at improving it, that would be great. Agh! The open source killer blow, "If it doesn't work, fix it yourself"... When I get more understanding, I'd love to look at MKBrower, it's would be exactly the sort of tool I need for quickly prototyping experimental database stuff. Thanks for all your help, now that I've "remembered" the line-ending issues I'll see if I can create a complex model. cheers tom _______________________________________________ Webware-discuss mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/webware-discuss
