This is all about MiddleKit, right? I didn't see anything about WebKit in
your message.

Those 2 components are independent. You can use one or the other or both.

By the time I manage the project, apply patches, fix bugs, write release
notes, write user's guides, answer questions and build Webware sites for
clients, a Quick Start is all I have time for. :-)

As our community gets bigger someone will inevitably write a tutorial or a
book. But in light of the above, it is unlikely to be me.

Not to fear. You probably already have cvs and a nice command line with OSX
(the successor to NeXTstep which I used for 6 years). There are docs
waiting for your digestion:

https://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=4866
http://cvsbook.red-bean.com/
http://www.cvshome.org/

I recommend getting familiar with the command line version of cvs first as
it is almost guaranteed to work. After you feel comfortable with that
(which could be days or weeks), then you might investigate GUI clients for
your particular op sys and/or text editor. The quality in that arena varies
immensely.

BTW If you are new to this kind of programming, MiddleKit _may_ be a big
pill to swallow right off the bat. Are you already familiar with WebKit?
Not that it's a prerequisite, but I suspect it is easier to learn and get
some satisfaction out of early on.

But, hey, you've already solved a couple issues you were having...

I meant the on-line docs such as the Quick Start, User's Guide, etc.

Well, hey, I'm just being honest. I already mentioned that I would revisit
the docs in light of your suggestions. But I know there are some things
that I'm likely to get to and other things I'm not. I try to be honest
about that.

Or see if you can get a simple app and simple model working that still do
something useful. Then layer in complexity one step at a time.

Your choice, of course.

If you continue with MiddleKit _please_ use CVS or wait for the 0.6a1
release this weekend.
