I ran WebKit via OneShot.cgi on a virtual pair.com account for demo
purposes for a client. It was obviously somewhat slow and I only got
away with it because of light traffic. I recall building Python in my
home directory and using that, which was pretty cool.

At my current company, we felt like it was cheaper to buy a server a
co-locate it (at redwire.net; hmmm I see their web page now lists the
price as "call us") because with QuickServe we would end up paying
hundreds more per month for the lifetime of the server just to have
extra RAM and hard drive space, a presumably one-time expense.

I haven't looked at QuickServe prices lately. At the time that I did,
paying an extra $1,200 or so every year, year after year, for a more
powerful machine felt wrong.
