NOT in cvs yet: I added a SQLConnectionPoolSize setting for MK (defaults to 0). If non-zero, then it creates a DBPool which it uses for connections. My "traversal" benchmark got 15-20% faster.
Note that early versions of MySQLdb had a threadsafety of 2, so SQLObjectStore would just reuse the same connection. Then with MySQLdb 0.9.x, the safety dropped to 1 and SQLObjectStore, to be safe, started creating connections for every query. Hence the new speed up with using a pool.
