Do you really believe that is correct? Do you also think that once HIPAA is mandated in Oct-03(?), that we will all still be friendly in discussing our differences in HIPAA compliance? If so your wrong. It's business, and more precisely the nature of competition. If you elect to take the shortcut and use dummy data along the way, you can bet that a company that took the time to apply the HIPAA rules as intended (subjective I know, but using dummy data?) is going to make you pay. Please do not take this as a personal attack, that is not what I meant. I'm just surprised that someone would believe that HIPAA allows for the use of dummy data, and there was no response from the owner of the comment. Am I alone in this?
